Shraddha Kapoor has reassured fans that she is recovering well after fracturing her toe while shooting a Lavani sequence for her upcoming film Eetha. The actor injured herself earlier this month during an intense dance performance near Nashik, prompting concerns among fans. Kapoor has now confirmed that the injury is healing and that she will be back to work soon.
Shraddha explains her injury with a touch of humour
During an interaction with fans on social media, Shraddha responded to a question about how she was managing the discomfort. Showing her injured leg, she said, “Terminator ki tarah ghoom rahi hoon. Muscle tear hai. Theek ho jaayega. Bas thoda rest karna hai but I’ll be absolutely fine.”

Her light-hearted response quickly went viral, with fans sending her recovery wishes.
How the injury happened?
According to a Mid-Day report quoted in the TOI story, Shraddha was performing a fast-paced Lavani number composed by Ajay-Atul when she lost her balance. Wearing a traditional Nauvari saree, heavy jewellery and kamarpatta, she accidentally put too much weight on her left foot, resulting in a toe fracture.
A source told TOI that despite the injury, Shraddha initially continued shooting close-up scenes so the day wouldn’t go to waste. After returning to Mumbai, she shot emotional portions on a Madh Island set, but the pain intensified, and the schedule had to be halted. The team is expected to resume filming in about two weeks once she fully recovers.
What’s next for Shraddha?
Shraddha has taken on one of the most demanding roles of her career in Eetha, where she portrays a character inspired by Lavani legend Vithabai Narayangaonkar. She has reportedly gained over 15 kilos for the role.
During the fan Q&A, Shraddha also said she would suggest the re-release of Aashiqui 2 after a fan proposed the idea. She further confirmed that she is doing her boyfriend Rahul Mody’s next film.
