Pune is set to begin an alternate-day water supply schedule from June 16 amid mounting concerns over falling water reserves in the dams that serve the city. The move, announced by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), is aimed at conserving available water and ensuring supply through the coming weeks.

The PMC has decided to introduce water distribution on alternate days across the city as reservoir levels continue to decline. The civic body said the measure is necessary to manage available resources and maintain supply for a longer duration.
