A young man lost his life in a horrific accident due to dense fog in Delhi. The incident occurred late Friday night in Noida's Sector 150 area. The matter came to light after the deceased's family filed a complaint at the police station. It has been learned that the deceased youth's name was Yuvraj Mehta (27). He was a software engineer by profession.

Lack of safety measures led to death

Yuvraj was driving home on Friday night. Visibility on the road was quite low due to dense fog. Additionally, there was no reflector on the roadside. It has been learned that due to the fog, unable to see properly, Yuvraj crashed his car into a guard rail near a 70-foot deep pit on the roadside. This pit had reportedly been created for construction work. After that, unable to maintain control, the engineer fell into the drain along with his car. It has been learned that Yuvraj had called home and informed about the incident while in that condition.

After falling into the drain, several locals rushed to the spot upon hearing Yuvraj's screams. They informed the police about the incident. Upon receiving the news, police and disaster response team members arrived. After nearly five hours of effort, Yuvraj's body was recovered from the drain. Police also recovered the car.

It has been learned that upon receiving his son's call, Yuvraj's father rushed to the spot. Several of Yuvraj's friends also came to the scene. One person reported that even before the disaster response team arrived, a local person entered the water to search for Yuvraj. However, despite prolonged efforts, he could not be found. Finally, Yuvraj's body was recovered around 4:30 in the morning.

Yuvraj's father has filed a complaint at the Knowledge Park police station against the building construction company. In his complaint, he stated that the drains along the roadside in this area have no covers. There are also no reflectors along the road. Yuvraj's father said he spoke with Knowledge Park police station officer Sarvesh Kumar. He assured that if any negligence is found during the investigation of the incident, appropriate action will be taken against the concerned authorities.
