The New Zealand tour of India has come to a thrilling phase now, as batting first in Indore, New Zealand batters put India in trouble after scoring 337 runs. India started well with the ball, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh both jabbed the openers. However, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Philips settled the innings and started hammering the bowlers; both of them scored a century in this match. With that, Mitchell completed 350 runs in this series, and Glenn Phillips scored his second ODI century.

In reply, the Indian team lost the first wicket of Rohit Sharma at 28 runs, in which Rohit contributed with just 11 runs. This is the third time in the series that Rohit threw his wicket in a very similar fashion. This time, Zakary Foulkes showed Rohit Sharma the way out. A few moments later, Shubman Gill, who was looking in a fine touch, was bowled out on a destructive delivery by Kyle Jamieson. He returned to the pavilion scoring 23 runs.

After a bad start, both of the Kiwi seniors took the responsibility to destroy the Indian bowlers. Together, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips formed a 219-run partnership. They took on every bowler until Arshdeep Singh jabbed the wicket of Glenn Phillips, who scored 106 runs in 88 balls.

Daryl Mitchell scored his second century of the series, finishing with 137 runs, which included 15 fours and three sixes. Harshit Rana took three wickets but conceded 84 runs in 10 overs, while Arshdeep Singh also claimed three wickets, giving away 63 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy bowled a long spell of 8 overs, conceding 53 runs, but he was unable to take a wicket. New Zealand batters, especially Mitchell, went big on the spinners and charged at Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. Among all the Indian bowlers, Siraj was the only bowler who conceded runs at just a 4.3 economy rate.
After 12 overs, India lost three crucial wickets with 70 runs on board, including Shreyas Iyer, who departed scoring just 3 runs. At this point, New Zealand is far ahead in the game and is also the favourite to become the series winners. Only a big Partnership can help India to cross the line.
