The ICC and BCB conflict is not going to stop soon. ICC has made the last try to end the conflict and went to Dhaka to find a middle ground on the matter. Reports suggested that the BCB has asked ICC to swap their groups with Ireland to end the dispute. Amid that, Cricket Ireland has opened up on the matter and said to Cricbuzz that the ICC has assured them that it won’t make a change in the original schedule.

"We've received definitive assurances that we won't move from the original schedule. We're definitely playing the Group Stage in Sri Lanka," an official from Cricket Ireland said while speaking to Cricbuzz in a statement.

What is the stance of BCB on this matter?

On the other hand, the confusion about the participation of the Bangladeshi cricketers has been growing as BCB is not ready to leave a space on their ground. Ireland has been placed in Group C alongside Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Australia and Oman, while Bangladesh is placed in Group B along with England, Italy, Nepal and the West Indies.

The ongoing matter has been confirmed by a BCB bowler as "Among other points, the possibility of moving Bangladesh to a different group as a means of facilitating the matter with minimum logistical adjustments was discussed," the BCB said, as cited by cricbuzz.

As the matter remains unresolved till now, the BCB has clarified that they have agreed to have talks and plan on this matter.
