Dwarka accident: 23-year-old dies in crash; minor SUV driver granted interim bail
Sahil Dhaneshra, a 23-year-old resident of Dwarka, was killed in a road accident in West Delhi on February 3. Police said an SUV, a car and a motorcycle were found in an accidental condition at the spot. During the investigation, the SUV driver was identified as a 17-year-old allegedly driving without a licence. A case was registered at Dwarka South Police Station under sections 281 (rash driving), 106(1) (causing death by negligence) and 125(a) (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The minor was apprehended, produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and sent to an observation home. He was granted interim bail on February 10.
According to the post-mortem report, Sahil suffered fatal cranio-cerebral trauma consistent with a high-impact collision. Doctors recorded a massive subdural haematoma and generalised brain injury, declaring it a case of spot death.

While it was heading to Sindi Railway Station in Wardha, smoke was spotted in the last guard coach of the train at 11.09 am, Central Railway spokesperson Sanjay Muley was quoted as saying by The Economic Times. The train was stopped on the Sindi-Tuljapur section. The affected coach was removed quickly, and the fire brigade was called.

AIIMS officials said the scan, known as focused assessment with sonography in trauma (FAST), aimed to show how effective a tele-robotic ultrasound system could be. This system might be used in rural areas, disaster zones, war settings, and extreme weather to allow for early diagnosis and timely medical help. Using a haptic control device at AIIMS Delhi, a doctor operated a robotic arm in Antarctica to perform the scan. The robotic arm mirrored the doctor’s hand movements in real time, while the ultrasound images were sent instantly to his screen.

On Monday, the Capital recorded a maximum temperature of 31.6 C, seven degrees above the seasonal average, marking the first time this year that the mercury crossed 30 C. According to available data, this is the earliest the 30 C mark has been breached in February in five years. The last earlier instance dates to 2021, when the temperature touched 30.4 C on February 11. The sharp rise continues to a warming trend seen through the first half of the month. Between February 1 and 15, the average maximum temperature stood at 25 C, which is 1.9 C above the long-period average for this period. Since February 12, when the maximum was 25.4 C, temperatures have climbed steadily to 26.3 C on February 13, 27 C on February 14 and 28.5 C on February 15, culminating in Monday’s spike.
