Commercial users across India will pay more for cooking fuel from February 1, just hours before the Union Budget 2026 is presented in Parliament. Oil marketing companies have raised the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹50, increasing costs for hotels, restaurants, dhabas and other businesses that rely heavily on bulk LPG supplies.
The revision, implemented on the first day of the month, follows the standard monthly price review carried out by state-run fuel retailers, including Indian Oil.

Commercial LPG prices rise, domestic rates unchanged
While commercial users face higher bills, households have currently been spared from any immediate impact. The price of domestic LPG cylinders has been left unchanged and continues at the levels which was last revised on April 8, 2025.
According to price data published by Indian Oil, the revised rates for 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders in major cities are:
Delhi: ₹1,740.50
Mumbai: ₹1,692
Kolkata: ₹1,844.50
Chennai: ₹1,899.50
These cylinders are primarily used for commercial use, and the latest hike is expected to add to the operating costs in the hospitality and food services sector.

Monthly revisions and recent price trend
LPG prices are reviewed on the first of every month. In January 2026, commercial LPG prices were increased by ₹111, followed by the additional ₹50 hike in February. This comes after a brief period of relief late last year, when prices were cut by ₹5 in November and ₹10 in December. October had seen a marginal increase of ₹15.50, ending a six-month stretch of continuous price reductions.
In Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder was ₹1,803 in March last year. It gradually declined to ₹1,580.50 by December before reversing course and rising again in early 2026.

ATF prices cut alongside LPG hike
Alongside the LPG revision, oil companies have reduced the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) with effect from February 1. In Delhi, ATF is now priced at $778.85 per kilolitre, or ₹91,393.39 per 1,000 litres, down from ₹92,323.02 earlier. Similar reductions have been announced for Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
The fuel price changes come just ahead of the Union Budget 2026, which will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman later on Sunday, with industry closely watching for any relief measures.
