Operation Sindoor remains active, with India's armed forces maintaining a high level of operational preparedness despite the current pause in hostilities, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi said on Saturday.
Addressing the passing-out parade of the 150th course at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla, the Army Chief stated that the military continues to remain vigilant while preparing for future security challenges.

General Dwivedi said the Indian Army is working closely with the Air Force and Navy to enhance joint operational capabilities and strengthen preparedness for evolving forms of warfare. Referring to the possibility of future contingencies, he said the armed forces are also gearing up for what he described as "Operation Sindoor 2.0" if circumstances require such action.

Information warfare takes centre stage
The Army Chief also pointed to the increasing significance of information warfare in contemporary conflicts. He said public trust and national unity play a crucial role in determining the effectiveness of information campaigns during times of tension.
“Information warfare is only successful if the whole of nation gets together and trusts the people who are giving the information," he said.
According to General Dwivedi, confidence in credible sources and coordinated efforts across stakeholders contribute significantly to strengthening national resilience during conflict situations.
