Push for digital payments, relief for daily commuters
The move is expected to benefit millions of daily commuters who rely on unreserved tickets for short-distance and suburban travel. While the 3% reduction may appear modest, frequent travellers could see noticeable monthly savings.
Officials say the initiative is aimed at encouraging cashless transactions while making ticketing faster and more accessible. Digital booking also reduces queues at station counters, particularly during peak hours.
What RailOne offers passengers
The RailOne App serves as a unified platform, bringing together multiple railway services in one place. It integrates systems such as ticket booking, live train tracking, and passenger support.
