Before April 13, 2026, no one had thought that any team could lose three wickets in the very first over of an innings, but from today, history will be changed, as Praful Hinge, the boy from Vidarbha, has unleashed fire, taking three wickets in the very first over. He picked up the wickets of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, and to make the difference even bigger, he came for his second over and showed Riyan Parag the way to the pavilion. At a point, RR was at 2, losing 4 wickets. The 24-year-old boy changed the history of IPL after 1191 matches.

Hailing from Vidarbha, the right-arm pacer came to notice in the SYED Mushtaq Ali trophy; his pace and variations attracted the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and they picked him for 30 Lakhs in the auction. According to iplt20.com, "Praful Hinge is a young right-arm seamer from Vidarbha who has steadily built his reputation in red-ball cricket.

His exposure to T20 cricket has been limited so far, but he made a tidy impression in his only appearance. Opening the bowling alongside Umesh Yadav, Hinge returned figures of 1 for 23 in four overs against Andhra.”

The 24-year-old has been in superb form, appearing in ten first-class games and taking 27 wickets in 19 innings, including one four-wicket haul. He has also played six List A matches, taking five wickets. Before IPL 2026, Hinge had only appeared in one T20 game.

With this dream debut, he made the day unforgettable. Previously, SRH has suffered from bowling weakness. Now, with Praful Hinge, Shakib Hussain and Shivang Kumar, their bowling is looking world-class. Interestingly, the uncapped Indian bowlers came into the squad, replacing capped players Jaydev Unadkat and Harshal Patel.
