The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has announced a five-day suspension of routine passport, visa, and attestation services across the UAE from June 26 to June 30, 2026, as the country’s consular work is handed over to a new outsourced service provider.
The change comes ahead of Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC taking charge from July 1, when regular services are scheduled to resume under the new arrangement.
Current providers, BLS International Services Ltd. and SGIVS Global, will stop accepting new applications after June 25.

A small interruption in the grand administrative procession
The embassy said no regular appointments will be available during the transition window, affecting passport renewals, visa applications, and attestation work.
Applications submitted before the cut-off date will continue to be processed through the existing centers, even as the handover is completed. The change follows a tendering and evaluation process in which Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC was selected as the new outsourced provider for consular services in the UAE.
The new operator is expected to begin handling all fresh passport, visa, and attestation applications from July 1.

A lifeline remains at the ready
During the five-day pause, emergency consular support will continue to be handled directly by the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai.
TOI reported that applicants needing urgent assistance can contact the missions through a toll-free number, WhatsApp, and email, while the embassy has advised people to plan submissions accordingly before the transition begins.
The present booking systems used by the current service partners will be replaced by a new appointment site for passport, visa, and attestation services before the new provider begins operations.
A new steward steps into the frame
The embassy has advised applicants to follow official updates during the transition period as arrangements are put in place to ensure essential consular services continue without disruption across the UAE.
Once the transition is complete, all new applications will move to centers operated by Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC, marking a change in the delivery of Indian consular services in the country from July 1.
