IRCTC has launched the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train for people who want to visit important temples and religious sites in South India.
The tour will provide a comfortable and well-planned travel experience, combining temple visits, sightseeing, and guided tours in one journey. This is part of IRCTC’s plan to make religious tourism in India more organised and affordable for travellers.
Dates and routes covered
The Bharat Gaurav Train will run from April 11 to 22, 2026, for 12 days and 11 nights. The journey starts at Gorakhpur and stops at several stations, including Mankapur, Ayodhya Cantt, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj Sangam, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Kanpur, Orai, Jhansi and Lalitpur.
Major pilgrimage destinations
The tour takes you to famous South India temples like Tirupati Balaji, Meenakshi, Ramanathaswamy, Kanyakumari, and Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga. You will also get sightseeing and guided tours, making it easy for pilgrims and travellers to enjoy.

Ticket prices and booking
IRCTC has three ticket options: Economy (Sleeper) for ₹24,790, Standard (3AC) for ₹42,530, and Comfort (2AC) for ₹56,710. Children get lower prices. The package includes train travel, hotels, vegetarian meals, and sightseeing. You can book online on the IRCTC Tourism website or at the Gomti Nagar office. EMI and LTC options are also available through selected banks.
