India Women won their first series after world cup as they whitewashed Sri Lanka to bag the T20I series. Dominating performances, calm execution, and never give up mentality powered the Indian team to clinch the series.

Shafali Verma and Renuka Singh picked the bones out of the Sri Lankan team as they gave a match-winning performance at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.

India Women wrapped up a flawless series with a commanding eight-wicket win over Sri Lanka Women in the third T20I. Batting first, Sri Lanka never really settled and ended on 112 for 7. India’s bowlers were sharp from the start, with Renuka Singh striking early and finishing with an impressive 4 for 21. Deepti Sharma backed her up brilliantly, picking up three wickets for 18 runs and keeping the scoring in check. For Sri Lanka, Imesha Dulani (27) and Hasini Perera (25) showed some fight, but partnerships were hard to come by.

Chasing a modest target, India were led by a sparkling innings from Shafali Verma, who blasted an unbeaten 79 off just 42 balls. Even after an early wicket, India cruised to 115 for 2 in 13.2 overs, sealing a comprehensive win and a deserved 3–0 series sweep.

A dominant series win by India

Indian ladies completely outclassed the Sri Lankan players right from the first match; the Indian team set the tone with team performances, Shafali Verma made 157 runs in three matches, consisting of two fifties, with a strike rate of 193.83, while Jemimah ended the series as second highest run scorer of the series.

While Sri Lanka failed to put at least one 130+ total in the middle, Indian batters chased down the scores with approximately 8 overs remaining in every match. The Sri Lankan team also failed to pick more than three wickets in a match in this series, which shows the strength of the Indian women's team.
