Teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has reacted to praise from cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar after producing one of the most explosive innings in IPL playoff history against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The 15-year-old lit up the eliminator with a breathtaking 97 off just 29 balls, narrowly missing out on becoming the fastest centurion in IPL history. His fearless innings included 12 towering sixes and completely dismantled Hyderabad’s bowling attack in a high-pressure knockout clash.
The knock left fans and former cricketers stunned, with Tendulkar joining the chorus of admiration on social media.

Tendulkar praised fearless batting approach
Tendulkar highlighted Sooryavanshi’s exceptional bat swing and his ability to create room against deliveries targeted at his body.
The batting great said the teenager’s freedom of movement and attacking mindset made the innings “nothing short of spectacular.”
Sooryavanshi later revealed he was unaware of Tendulkar’s post until teammate Dhruv Jurel mentioned it during a conversation for the IPL website.

Reacting to the praise, Sooryavanshi admitted that hearing appreciation from Tendulkar came as a surprise and called it one of the proudest moments of his young career.
During a conversation for the IPL website, he said being acknowledged by someone widely regarded as the “God of Cricket” was deeply motivating and special for him. The teenager added that such recognition from a cricketing icon would inspire him to keep improving and performing on the big stage.

The young batter currently leads the Orange Cap standings with 680 runs in 15 innings, averaging 45.33 while striking at a staggering rate of 242.85.
