Almost a week after the introduction of ChatGPT Images 2.0 by OpenAI, it appears that India might be the largest base of ChatGPT users. In contrast to conventional image editing software, ChatGPT 2.0 is being widely employed for creativity and self-expression purposes.

Creative self-expression drives a surge in image transformations

Users in India are using the programme to turn their selfie photos into anime-style avatars, dramatic images of faces, tarot-style images, and even newspaper covers with their own face on them. Furthermore, users have been observed to generate style boards and ‘style me’ images through this new program, indicating an increasing usage amongst the younger audience.

Moreover, it is not just about creative possibilities. There have been many other developments introduced in the new model.

These include the ability to work with complex prompts, accurate rendering of text irrespective of language, generation of high-quality output with minimal prompt inputs, reasoning abilities to better understand the prompts, and generation of diverse outputs.

Universal lighting

There have been several formats that have immediately caught on. While ‘Universal Lighting’ converts normal photographs to portrait-quality shots, the ‘Headshot’ filter produces high-quality profile pictures that can be used by professionals or artists online.

Some other popular filters include Anime transformation, the ‘Spring’ format characterized by the use of pastels, and the ‘Flash’ effect inspired by paparazzi photography.
