Auto park project to boost jobs and infrastructure

According to The Times of India, a major highlight of the announcement was the plan to develop a dedicated auto park in the city. The project will cover over 20 acres in the third phase of the KIADB Industrial Area in Kapnoor. The park will bring together small and micro automobile service units that currently operate from rented spaces and roadside setups, offering them better infrastructure under one roof. The proposal has already been approved by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board. Kharge described the project as a key step for the district’s growth. It is expected to generate around 2,000 direct jobs and about 5,000 indirect employment opportunities. More than 700 applicants have already shown interest in setting up units in the park.
