Flipkart’s Cleartrip has launched a new in-app feature called “Live Flight Status.” This feature is intended to enable users to track the status of their flights in real-time directly from the app. This feature is intended to provide users with information on flight schedules, delays, cancellations, and other information in a single, simple-to-use app.
The move comes as flight schedules continue to face disruptions due to factors such as weather changes and geopolitical developments. By bringing live flight information into one place, the company aims to help travellers stay informed and respond quickly when plans change.
What the ‘live flight status’ feature offers
The Live Flight Status tool provides continuous updates related to a traveller’s flight once it is linked to a booking in the app. Once you connect a booking in the app, you’ll receive live updates on the status of the connected flight. This includes real-time information on departures and arrivals, delays, gates, and baggage belts.

The app also sends users notifications if there are disruptions, enabling them to make the necessary adjustments to their plans either before arriving at the airport or while waiting for information on boarding.
According to the company, the tool has been designed to support first-time explorers and seasoned travellers, particularly those who use mobile apps to manage their travel.

With the introduction of Live Flight Status, Cleartrip is expanding its services beyond ticket booking. The feature also includes reminders, check-in assistance, and disruption alerts intended to keep travellers updated throughout their journey.
The company said the aim is to remain connected with travellers during every stage of their trip, including the time between booking and arrival.

Designed to support travellers during the journey
The company has launched this feature in a series of recent updates that have helped in making travel planning and decisions easier. For example, there is Price Trends, which enables customers to track potential price changes.
Commenting on the launch, Manoj Awasthi, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Cleartrip, said, “At Cleartrip, we see booking confirmation not as the end of the customer journey, but as the beginning of the traveller’s trip. Our goal is to support travellers beyond the transaction and stay present throughout their journey. With ‘Live Flight Status’, we are taking a step in that direction—giving travellers real-time insights so they can stay informed, respond quickly to changes, and experience travel that is less stressful and far more predictable."
