The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced a new partnership with Google to make it easier for people to find authorised Aadhaar centres through Google Maps. With the Google Maps integration, residents across India will be able to locate verified government Aadhaar service centres more easily and with greater trust.
Under this move, people searching on Google Maps will be shown only authorised and verified Aadhaar centres, thereby eliminating the problems of incorrect listings and unauthorised service providers.

Collaboration covers more than 60,000 Aadhaar centres across India
This collaboration covers more than 60,000 Aadhaar centres across the country along with modern Aadhaar Seva Kendras that provide smooth and technology-based services. The platform will clearly show the available UIDAI services at each centre for serving various purposes, including new Aadhaar enrollment for adults, children, or limited services like mobile number and address updates. Users will know exactly what services are offered before visiting, thereby helping save time and avoiding unnecessary visits at the same time.
People will also aquire important information about each centre, including working hours, parking availability and facilities for 'divyang' persons, wherever available. These details will be especially helpful for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said that the authority is committed to making life easier for Aadhaar holders, as reported by The Economic Times. He added that this partnership will help people find authorised Aadhaar centres more easily, quickly and with greater transparency.
From Google’s side, Country Head of Strategic Partnerships in India, Roli Agarwal, said that adding verified Aadhaar centres to Google Maps will help millions of people find trusted services easily and confidently. It will further connect essential public services more closely with citizens.
What’s the next big update?
In the following phase, the partnership will expand further. UIDAI will use Google Business Profile tools to manage and regularly update information about Aadhaar centres. This will also enable UIDAI to respond directly to public feedback. It will make the service system more responsive and accountable.
Online appointment booking feature in pipeline
In the future, both organisations will also add an online appointment booking feature through Google Maps. If this is introduced, people will easily book their visits in advance. This will help to reduce waiting time and overcrowding at centres. This step would make planning easier and improve overall efficiency for users.

This partnership shows how digital platforms are increasingly being connected with important public services. By using a popular technology platform, UIDAI services will become easier to access for people in both cities and villages. This effective initiative is not only helpful for finding Aadhaar centres but also highlights the importance of correct and verified information in today’s digital era.
As the feature rolls out in the coming months, people can expect a smoother and more dependable experience while visiting Aadhaar Seva Kendras and other authorised centres. This collaboration is a practical step towards improving convenience, transparency, and trust in India’s digital public services.
