For the last few days, social media has been taken over by the wedding of Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju in Udaipur. The three-day celebrations looked like a full-on festival, and if your Instagram feed felt like a nonstop highlight reel of the Mantena wedding, you were not the only one. The wedding completely dominated Instagram and YouTube with celebrity performances, huge décor setups, and endless dance videos: almost replacing the usual Ambani-wedding nostalgia.
India loves grand weddings, but every few years, one becomes the talk of the whole country. This wedding season, it was the Mantena wedding. So here are all the key moments and details in case you got lost in the flood of updates.

The question was: Who is getting married?
Interestingly, not many people knew the Mantenas or the Gadirajus before the wedding went viral. But once the Reels spread everywhere, everyone started asking who they were.
Netra Mantena is the daughter of NRI pharma entrepreneur Rama Raju Mantena, the Chairman and CEO of Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, which operates in the US, Switzerland, and India. The family is originally from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, and Mantena moved to the US in the 1980s.
Vamsi Gadiraju is the co-founder and chief technology officer of Superorder, a tech platform that helps multi-location restaurants manage delivery and takeaway operations. In 2024, he and co-founder Raghav Poddar were featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list under the “Food and Drink” category.
The wedding took place in Udaipur, Rajasthan, turning the city into a high-security zone for three to four days. There were chartered flights, lake-side palaces, folk artists, and royal-style hospitality. Reports say even access to Lake Pichola was restricted for the wedding. Many luxury hotels were booked exclusively for the events.
Jagmandir Island Palace, located on Lake Pichola, hosted the main wedding. The sangeet happened inside the City Palace complex at Zenana Mahal. The Haldi was held at the Taj Lake Palace. The Leela Palace hosted at least one major party and the reception.
Viral guest list
The guest list reminded many people of the Ambani weddings. People flew in from around the world, which became one of the big highlights.
Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, attended the wedding. Actor Ram Charan was also present.
But the biggest surprise was Jennifer Lopez, who came to Udaipur for a special performance. She sang hits like Waiting for Tonight, Get On the Floor, Play, Save Me Tonight, Get Right, and Ain’t Your Mama, making the night unforgettable for everyone there.
Besides her, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, and Shahid Kapoor also performed. The sangeet was hosted by Karan Johar and Sophie Choudry, and Karan even did his signature rapid-fire round of Koffee with Karan with the couple.

The amount of star power at the wedding was massive.
Who wore what?
For the outfits, Netra Mantena wore a classic red Sabyasachi lehenga with heavy zari work and hanging motifs at the hem. Her full-sleeved blouse and layered jewellery gave her a royal and timeless bridal look.
Vamsi Gadiraju wore an ivory bandhgala sherwani with detailed embroidery. He paired it with a layered pearl necklace and finished the look with an ivory safa decorated with a kilangi.
According to reports, the billionaire's wedding in Udaipur was held on a huge budget of 6.7 million dollars.
