Vande Bharat Express was forced to stop after a group of young men placed wooden logs across the railway tracks, allegedly to record a social media video. The incident, captured on camera, has caused widespread anger on social media sites as people demand strict action against the men.
Logs placed on tracks, train forced to halt
In the video, it can be seen that the men are placing large wooden logs on the tracks in front of the train. When the train stops on a remote track, the men can be heard cheering and celebrating, saying, “Vande Bharat rukwa diye" (Stopped the Vande Bharat).
However, soon after, a police constable on the train notices them and approaches them, suspecting that they are trying to board the train illegally. The men deny this and say, “Nahi, ghus rahe the, video shoot kar rahe the” (We were not trying to enter, we were shooting a video). The video ends without showing what happened to the logs.
