Most creators spend years building an online legacy and an equally detailed plan for what happens to it after they are gone. MrBeast, however, appears to have approached the question in the only way his audience would expect: by turning it into a challenge.

The world's most-subscribed YouTuber recently revisited an unusual idea about the future of his channel during an appearance on the Flagrant podcast. The conversation quickly caught attention online after clips resurfaced on social media, with fans reacting to what could be the ultimate MrBeast competition.

A challenge inspired by his own videos

During the podcast, Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, explained that he wants some of his closest collaborators to compete for ownership of his YouTube empire after his death.

According to NDTV, longtime associates Karl Jacobs, Chandler Hallow and Chris Tyson would place their hands on his tombstone. The last person to remove their hand would become the winner and inherit everything associated with the channel.

Donaldson described the idea with complete seriousness, saying the winner would receive full control of the brand, content library and business built around his massive online presence.

The proposal immediately drew laughter from the hosts, who noted that it sounded exactly like one of the elaborate challenges that have made MrBeast famous across the internet.

Questions over who gets included

According to NDTV, the discussion soon shifted to who should be eligible for the unusual contest. Podcast hosts pointed out that some familiar members of MrBeast's extended team were missing from the lineup.

When asked about content creator Nolan Hansen and behind-the-scenes collaborator Tariq, Donaldson suggested that the plan could eventually be expanded. He acknowledged that both had played important roles in the growth of the channel and could potentially be added to the challenge.

The exchange highlighted the close-knit nature of the group that has appeared in MrBeast videos for years and helped transform the channel into a global entertainment powerhouse.

Not a new idea for the YouTube star

According to NDTV, although the clip has gone viral again, longtime followers know this is far from a spontaneous thought. MrBeast first floated the concept publicly several years ago in a social media post, where he proposed a similar competition involving members of his crew.

Since then, he has referenced the idea in interviews and podcast appearances, suggesting that the challenge remains his preferred answer whenever the topic of succession arises.
