Bengal's Yub Sathi project will be launched from April itself. Independent Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya announced this new state project in the interim budget. Initially, it was announced in the budget that this project would be launched from August. Later, in a press conference, Chief Minister Mamata Bandhyopadhyay announced that from April, the youth of Bengal will receive monthly financial assistance of ₹1,500 through this project. How to apply, what qualifications are needed? Here are the details.

Who will receive financial assistance under the Yuva Sathi project?

The applicant's age must be between 21 to 40 years.

The applicant must have passed the secondary or equivalent examination.

Only unemployed candidates will receive financial assistance under this project.

Unemployed candidates will receive this financial assistance for a maximum of 5 years.

Beneficiaries of the Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship or Rupashree, Sikshashree projects will also receive financial assistance under this project.

Who will not get the benefits of this project?

Those employed in government or private sectors are not covered under this project. Besides, beneficiaries of any other social security project of the state government will also not get the benefits of this project. That means those who receive Lakshmir Bhandar, Krishak Bhata will not get the benefits of this project.

How to apply for the Yuva Sathi project?

From February 15 to February 26, camps will be organised in every assembly constituency of the state. Like the 'Duare Sarkar' camps, the state government will organise camps for receiving applications for Bengal's Yub Sathi project. Application forms for this project will be available there.

How to apply online for the Yuva Sathi project?

No portal has been launched yet for online applications to this project. However, from February 15, only application forms for this project will be available on the www.wbsportsandyouth.gov.in website. Many fake websites or portals have already been created in the name of the Yub Sathi project. The administration has requested to stay away from those portals.

What documents are required for applying to the Yuva Sathi project?

The documents that need to be prepared for applying to this project are—

Aadhaar card

Secondary or equivalent examination admit card

Educational qualification certificate

Bank account details

Passport-size photo (recent photo)

Your mobile number (for OTP and status-related work)

Other necessary information

The money from this project will be sent directly to the beneficiary's bank account. After collecting application forms from assembly constituency-based camps, applications must be submitted with proper documents. After the application is accepted, confirmation will be sent through text message to the beneficiary's mobile number. Beneficiaries will get the benefits of this project for a maximum of five years until they join any workplace.
