The temperature in Ukraine has dropped to minus 27 degrees Celsius, with an extreme cold wave underway. Considering the suffering of civilians during this harsh weather, American President Donald Trump claimed he convinced Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree to a ceasefire.
Trump’s claim at White House Meeting
At a cabinet meeting held at the White House, Trump revealed that he personally requested Putin to halt missile attacks on Kyiv and other cities during the extreme cold. According to Trump, Putin responded to the request and agreed to a one-week ceasefire.

In Trump’s words, “I personally asked President Putin not to fire on Kyiv and the cities and towns for a week, and he agreed to that.”
