One suspect was detained in connection with breaking windows at US vice president JD Vance's home in Cincinnati, according to US media reports.

However, the authorities have neither revealed the details of the suspect yet nor confirmed the charges filed. The police only conveyed to a local outlet that the suspect was detained and refrained from providing any further details.
According to CNN, the Vance family was not at home when the incident took place and authorities do not believe the person entered Vance's home.
Quoting a Secret Service spokesperson, CNN said the person, an adult male who has not been identified, was detained "for causing property damage, including breaking windows on the exterior of a personal residence associated with" Vance.
Investigation underway
The authorities are currently investigating whether the individual was targeting Vance or his family, according to CNN. They do not believe the person entered the vice president's home.

The damage
Pictures show damage to the windows. Soon after the incident, officers were on the crime scene in the East Walnut Hills area for several hours, conducting a recce of the house inside-out.
