The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has stepped in after several Class 12 students reported difficulties accessing the board's re-evaluation and verification portal, which is used to apply for answer sheet photocopies and mark verification.

Over the past two days, students have taken to social media to highlight login failures, verification errors and problems downloading scanned copies of answer sheets. Screenshots of error messages and complaints tagged to CBSE's official accounts have surfaced online, prompting the board to respond directly to affected candidates.

Students flag errors on verification portal

Many students claimed they were unable to complete the application process despite repeated attempts. One student, Jhana Das, posted on social media that the portal displayed a "verification failed" message every time she attempted to log in after the re-evaluation window opened.

Another candidate, Chetan Arora, said she had been trying to apply for re-evaluation for two consecutive days but continued to face website errors. Several others reported issues ranging from failed logins and slow loading pages to difficulties accessing scanned answer sheet copies and verification requests.

Board offers direct support

Responding to the complaints, CBSE asked students to send details of their issues through direct messages on its verified social media accounts. In at least one case, a student who reported being unable to access answer sheet photocopies later confirmed that the issue had been resolved after interacting with the board.

CBSE said it is monitoring the complaints and assisting candidates individually. The board has also assured students that queries related to portal access, answer sheet downloads and verification applications will be addressed through its support channels.

The latest complaints come days after CBSE reported smooth functioning of its re-evaluation system and said thousands of applications had already been processed successfully.

With the re-evaluation and verification process underway, students continue to seek timely access to answer sheets and mark verification services before the application deadlines expire.
