May announcements have defined the CBSE result season for three straight years May 12 in 2023 and May 13 in both 2024 and 2025. That pattern may break this year.
Sources quoted by The Indian Express indicate mid-April as the likely declaration date for Class 10 results 2026. Class 10 board exams ended on March 11. Class 12 began the same day as Class 10, February 17 and runs until April 10. With second board exams due in May, the board fast-tracked its evaluation process. Answer sheet checking is complete, and teacher re-verification is currently in progress. An official date is yet to be announced.

What happens after results are declared?
Students falling short in one or two subjects will be eligible for compartment exams. Dates for these will be published by the board after the main result is announced. For the rest, results will open doors to school admissions, college selections, and career planning, including competitive fields like medicine and engineering.
All the ways to check results
Scores will go live on the official websites — cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in, and umang.gov.in. Roll Number, School Number, Admit Card ID, Date of Birth, and an on-screen security pin are required to log in. Scorecards will be downloadable in PDF format.
Mobile users can check results through DigiLocker and UMANG apps on Android and iOS. Calling 24300699 works for Delhi students; 011-24300699 connects those outside Delhi. For SMS, sending CBSE10 with roll number, school number, and centre number to 7738299899 retrieves Class 10 results. Class 12 students can use CBSE12 in the same format to the same number. Results will also appear on Google Search and through the SMS Organiser app.

Digital documents students will receive
CBSE will issue three digital certificates through Parinam Manjusha on DigiLocker, mark sheet-cum-certificate, migration certificate, and skill certificate (if applicable). These will be available at cbse.digilocker.gov.in after results are declared, while printed mark sheets can be collected from schools.
A press note will be released along with the results. It will include details such as the number of schools and exam centres, overall pass percentage, and region-wise data. It will also show gender-wise and state-wise performance, CWSN student results, compartment numbers, and how many students scored above 90% and 95%. Data from Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other schools will also be included.
