GATE COAP 2026 registration begins: Here's how to apply before deadlines

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has opened registrations for the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2026. The portal serves as a central platform for candidates seeking admission to Master of Technology (MTech) programmes and recruitment in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Eligible candidates can register online through the official website, coap2026.iitr.ac.in.

Who can apply

Candidates who have qualified GATE 2026, GATE 2025, or GATE 2024 are eligible to register for COAP 2026. Applicants must be Indian citizens.

Those with multiple valid GATE scorecards are required to use the one with the higher score or better rank while completing the registration process.

Important dates to note

As per the official schedule, Round 1 of COAP 2026 will begin on May 11, 2026, at 10 am and will remain open until May 13, 2026, at 9 am. During this period, candidates can view offers and make their decisions.

The final round, Round 10, is scheduled from June 8, 2026, at 10 am to July 10, 2026, at 9 am.

Participating institutes

Several premier institutions are part of COAP 2026. These include the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru and multiple IITs such as Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Gandhinagar, Ropar, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Mandi, Palakkad, Tirupati, Dharwad, Bhilai, Jammu, Goa, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, and IIT (BHU) Varanasi.

Candidates can follow these steps to complete their registration:

Visit the official website at coap2026.iitr.ac.in

Click on the Register link on the homepage.

Enter your valid GATE registration number, email ID, and mobile number.

Create a password and submit the details.
