The GATE 2026 exam is set to kick off on February 7, with IIT Guwahati managing the national-level Computer-Based Test. If you’re registered, make sure to download your admit card from gate2026.iitg.ac.in well in advance.

As the test date approaches, ensure to carefully read all the instructions to avoid any last-minute issues on the test day.

GATE 2026 exam day instructions

It is recommended to reach the allocated centre 60-90 minutes prior to your reported time on the admit card. The entry will be subject to biometric verification and document checks, and after the gates are closed, it is unlikely that the candidates will be allowed to enter.

Candidates will be provided with rough sheets at the test centre. Before you begin, ensure to write your name and registration number on each rough sheet and return them to the invigilator after completion.
