The TS TET 2026 exam was held between January 3 and January 20 in 15 separate sessions. Morning sessions ran from 9 am to 11:30 am, while afternoon sessions were conducted from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
Two papers, lifetime validity
Paper I of TS TET is meant for candidates seeking to teach Classes 1 to 5, while Paper II is for those aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8. Once qualified, the TET certificate will remain valid for a lifetime.
The department also clarified eligibility in light of directions from the Supreme Court of India, which recently made TET qualification mandatory for all in-service and aspiring teachers. As per this clarification, teachers working in government, local body, aided, and unaided private schools can appear either for the state-level TS TET or the centrally conducted CTET.
Candidates wishing to challenge any answer in the provisional key must submit supporting documents and pay the prescribed fee through the online objection portal before the deadline. After reviewing all objections, the final answer key will be published, which will form the basis for the result.
