The makers of Dhurandhar The Revenge have released the first song from the upcoming sequel, unveiling a reimagined version of Bombay Rockers' iconic track "Aari Aari". The high-energy number blends Punjabi musical influences with modern hip-hop elements, giving fans an early taste of the film's tone.

The legacy of the original 'Ari Ari'

Long before its revival in Dhurandhar The Revenge, "Ari Ari" had already established a strong musical identity.

The song was originally performed by the Danish-Indian duo Bombay Rockers and featured on their debut album Introducing… in the early 2000s. Combining Punjabi folk influences with hip-hop rhythms, the track quickly gained popularity and became one of the defining hits of that period.

Its musical roots trace back to the Punjabi folk tune "Baari Barsi", which the duo transformed into a modern pop-rap track. The song went on to achieve wide recognition in both Denmark and India and played a role in the album's multi-platinum success.

The track features vocals by Navtej Singh Rehal of Bombay Rockers, Khan Saab, Jasmine Sandlas and Sudhir Yaduvanshi. The rap portions are performed and written by Reble and Token, adding a dynamic layer to the song.

The lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil along with Bombay Rockers, while the overall score has been produced by Adam Lucas.
