The makers of Dhurandhar The Revenge have released the film's first song, 'Aari Aari', giving fans a major glimpse into the storyline and the transformation of its central character. The track, which serves as the title song of Dhurandhar 2, has already generated excitement online, with many viewers calling it a "banger".
Ranveer Singh steps into the role
The newly-released song shows Ranveer Singh taking over the position of Lyari's Badshah, Sher-e-Baloch, a role earlier associated with Akshaye Khanna in the franchise. The video depicts Ranveer's character rising to power as crowds celebrate his dominance, signalling a shift in leadership within the story.
The song also hints at a major conflict in the film, showing glimpses of an intense face-off between Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal, who plays Major Iqbal. These moments have added to anticipation around the film's action sequences.
About the title track 'Aari Aari'
Released by T-Series, the track is a revived version of 'Aari Aari' originally by Bombay Rockers. It has been composed, arranged and programmed by Shashwat Sachdev, blending modern production with Punjabi musical elements.
The song features vocals by Navtej Singh Rehal (Bombay Rockers), Khan Saab, Jasmine Sandlas and Sudhir Yaduvanshi, while the rap sections are written and performed by Rebel and Token. The lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil along with Bombay Rockers, and the score is produced by Adam Lucas.
Fans' reactions
As soon as T-Series dropped the new "sound of revenge", fans went gaga. Reacting to the new drop, one fan wrote, "What kind of song is this. Even theatre speakers will start shaking, can not wait to hear it in the theatres."
Another said, "Shashwat Sachdev bro, your music gave the trailer a whole new level of hype."
"Listening on headphones itself is giving goosebumps," said one while another fan commented, "People - rehman dakait ke bina movie nahi chalegi .. Ranveer- May I come in (Jaskirat singh rangi)."
About the film
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar The Revenge explores the backstory of Ranveer Singh's character and his journey into the world of espionage. The narrative also shows how he takes control of a powerful criminal syndicate in Pakistan and confronts Major Iqbal, played by Arjun Rampal.

Presented by Jio Studios and produced by B62 Studios, the spy action thriller will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the festivals of Gudi Padwa and Ugadi.
