Dhurandhar wins big at Screen Awards 2026 but misses top honour in surprise twist

Screen Awards 2026 winners: Dhurandhar dominates with 14 awards, Ranveer Singh wins Best Actor, while Homebound takes Best Films.

Dhurandhar, spy thriller made by filmmaker Aditya Dhar, bagged a total of 14 awards at the Screen Awards 2026 and is regarded as the biggest winner, among which is Best Director and several technical awards.

Ranveer Singh bagged Best Actor (Male) for his performance as an undercover Indian spy in Dhurandhar, while Akshaye Khanna won Best Supporting Actor (Male) for his performance in the film.

Although Dhurandhar won many awards, Best Film award went to Homebound, a film made by filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan. This year’s award event was hosted in Mumbai on Sunday.

‘Dhurandhar’ leads across major categories

Alongside Best Director, Dhurandhar secured wins in categories such as cinematography, editing, sound design, action, choreography, and special effects, underlining its technical scale and execution.

The film’s music and background score also received recognition, adding to its overall tally on the night.

Meanwhile, Yami Gautam won Best Actor (Female) for Haq, while Shalini Vatsa was named Best Supporting Actor (Female) for her performance in Homebound.
