Tollywood shoots are set to resume tomorrow after an indefinite industry-wide strike triggered by the tragic death of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, who drowned during the shooting of the television serial Bhole Baba Par Karega in Odisha. The strike, which began on April 7, was called by key industry bodies demanding stricter on-set safety protocols, proper insurance, and accountability.
While work is restarting, Magic Moments Motion Pictures continues to face boycott and legal action, with FIRs filed and leading actors backing calls for reform. The incident has intensified demands for safer working conditions across the Bengali entertainment industry.
