Their appearance comes amid reports surrounding Vijay’s alleged marital troubles with wife Sangeetha Sornalingam, leading fans to revisit the actors’ long-standing friendship and successful on-screen pairing.

Photos and videos from the event quickly went viral online, with fans and internet users discussing the actors’ appearance together. The renewed attention comes at a time when speculation around Vijay’s personal life has intensified following reports that his wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, had filed for divorce after 26 years of marriage. Allegations of an extramarital affair have also surfaced online, although neither Vijay nor Sangeetha has issued any official statement regarding the matter.

Speaking about their early collaboration during Ghilli, Trisha had admitted that Vijay initially appeared reserved on set. However, she said the two gradually became close friends during the shoot.
