‘My wish is not just…’, Kamal Haasan shares review of the latest Tamil film Parasakthi

Veteran actor Kamal Hassan shares views on actor-singer Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi. This film features Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, and Sreeleela.

Parasakthi released on 10th January 2026, Saturday, Rajya Sabha MP and legendary actor Kamal Haasan gave a word on the latest released movie Parasakthi through his social media handle. This movie features Sivakarthikeyan, Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa. The legend praised this movie, saying, “ Let the Tamil flame spread!”

Parasakthi is a power-packed action-drama movie, which is based on an anti-Hindi imposition agitation in Tamil Nadu. This movie was directed by Sudha Kongara.

Kamal Haasan's opinion on Parasakthi

Kamal Hassan uses his official notepad to give a review of Parasakthi. He wrote everything in the Tamil language, which means “Let the Tamil flame spread!”

In his official note, he wrote, “Before I started watching the film Parasakthi, I did not expect at all that this film would become a resounding call for the elections our alliance is going to face. Yes, my wish is not just that this film should succeed, but it is also my genuine blessing.”

He told more about the film; this film touched Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s history. Later, he said, “This film is the victory garland placed upon DMK history. With affection, Kamal Haasan.” He added, “PS: I should have said this first, but my emotions took precedence. The first praise goes to this biopic-fiction story, its director, Mrs Sudha Kongara, and brother Sivakarthikeyan, who chose this story, worked hard for it, and are going to achieve success.”

In return for Kamal Hassan’s blessing, music composer GV Prakash showed gratitude towards the legendary actor and wrote, “Thanks to Hon'ble Kamalhassan for standing strongly in support of the film's initiative and giving lovely wishes.”

About the Parasakthi

On 10th January 2026, Saturday, the multi-star film Parasakthi hit the theatre. Parasakthi is directed by action epic director Sudha Kongara and produced by Aakash Bhaskaran of Dawn Pictures. Along with Sivakarthikeyan, Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa, it also features Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, Guru Somasundaram, Papri Ghosh, Rana Daggubati, Basil Joseph, and Dhananjay, who gave guest appearances in the movie. The music was composed by GV Prakash.

The picture is based on real events in 1960, which showed the anti-Hindi imposition movement in Tamil Nadu.
