A fresh encounter broke out in Delhi’s Dwarka area on Tuesday morning. The two shooters who were involved in the firing incident have been arrested. The incident was reported in Aya Nagar of Dwarka, where 69 shots were fired. The two involved sustained gunshot wounds to their legs.
Dwarka encounter case
According to India TV, the Delhi Police mentioned in a statement, “A brief encounter took place between the Delhi Police crime branch and criminals in the Dwarka area. Two were arrested. Both sustained gunshot wounds to their legs. Both were involved in the Aya Nagar shooting incident, where 69 bullets were fired, and have been arrested.”

The two involved sustained gunshot wounds to their legs. The Crime Branch team was responsible for carrying out the encounter.
Casualty and aid
During the encounter, the police team hit back in self-defence and fired four rounds. During the retaliation, the accused was shot in both legs. They were overpowered and taken into custody. Police provided first aid at the spot and shifted the accused to the local civil hospital. The officials further mentioned that a total of 10 rounds were fired during the encounter, six by the accused and four by the police team.

The Dwarka encounter case comes shortly after an encounter broke out in Gurgaon on Sunday. It involved a joint team of the Crime Branch Sector-40 and the Crime Branch Punhana. Mewat was arrested as a result of the incident. Mewat is a wanted interstate criminal carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh after an exchange of fire on the Sohna–Gurgaon Road. The police mentioned that the accused, identified as Yadram (50), sustained injuries to both legs during the encounter and was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
