A man has been arrested on charges of leaking sensitive information of the Indian Air Force to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The accused has been identified as Sunil Kumar (31), a resident of Sabga village in Ambala. He is an employee of a private contracting company. Investigators allege that Sunil had been in contact with Pakistani handlers for the past seven months and shared sensitive information through social media platforms.

According to investigators, Sunil was allegedly trapped in a honey trap and subsequently blackmailed into passing on information. Due to his employment with a private contractor, he had access to the Ambala Air Force base while working on construction-related projects. He was appointed as a supervisor for construction work involving various military units.
Police claim that he misused this access to share details such as the location of military units, their nature, and the movement of personnel with the ISI.

A special unit of the Ambala police has recovered WhatsApp chat records and voice call data linked to his alleged communication with Pakistani handlers. Investigators are also examining his bank accounts to determine whether any suspicious financial transactions took place.
Ambala Police DSP (Crime Suppression) Birendra Kumar said that Sunil has been remanded to four days of police custody for further interrogation. He added that investigators are trying to ascertain whether Sunil acted alone or if others were involved. More details are expected to emerge during the course of questioning.
