A young woman has accused Madhya Pradesh BJP leader Ashok Singh of raping her at knifepoint. This incident occurred about six months ago. However, the matter came to light after she filed a complaint with the police last Wednesday. Following this, Ashok Singh has been accused of threatening the victim. He brazenly said in front of the cameras, "You can't do anything to me." He has also been accused of abusing the police. An investigation into the incident has begun.
What happened in Madhya Pradesh?
According to police sources, Ashok Singh is the husband of a BJP councillor from Baghela municipality in Madhya Pradesh's Ramnagar. Last Wednesday, a young woman filed a written complaint with Satna district police superintendent Hansraj Singh. She alleges that Ashok Singh raped her at knifepoint about six months ago. He even recorded a video of it. The victim also alleges that when the matter became known, she and her family were threatened with death.

The victim said she could not speak out all this time due to fear. But on December 20, she was targeted again. She alleged that Singh molested her that day and threatened to rape her again.
Threat video goes viral
A video of a conversation between Ashok Singh and the victim has gone viral on social media. In that video, Singh can be heard saying, "What will happen to me? Nothing will happen. File complaints wherever you want. You can't do anything to me." The young woman then says while crying, "I will go to the police." Ashok Singh is then seen abusing the police as well.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Manoj Trivedi has started investigating the incident after receiving the complaint. Police said that the authenticity of the viral video is being verified. All evidence is being examined.
The victim has also accused the police of inaction. She alleges that she went to the police five days ago, but no action was taken. Later, she complained to the police superintendent. The victim warned, "If any harm comes to my family or me, the police will have to take full responsibility."
