A man had lent money to help a friend. A dispute began when he asked for the money back. This led to gunfire. The person who had given the loan was allegedly shot. He was seriously injured in the shooting. Police have started investigating the incident in Punjab's Batala area.
It has been learned that this loan was given 20 years ago. Rajinder Singh had extended a helping hand seeing his friend Paramjit Singh Sadhu in trouble. He had given Paramjit 5 lakh rupees as a loan without hesitation. Rajinder had asked his friend multiple times to return the money. However, Paramjit did not return the money. He allegedly kept postponing the repayment date with various excuses.

According to sources, Rajinder, a resident of Amritsar, now urgently needs the money. For this reason, Rajinder went to Paramjit's house in Gokuwal village with his wife and driver. Allegedly, when Rajinder asked for the repayment of this long-standing loan, Paramjit started arguing with him. During the argument, Paramjit fired from his .315 bore rifle. The bullet hit Rajinder's right leg.
The entire incident was captured on a mobile phone camera. Rajinder's family recorded the video during the argument. It showed Rajinder getting into an argument with a woman. At that moment, Paramjit stood behind the woman and fired from the rifle.
According to police sources, Rajinder's driver then took him to the hospital. Police said a case has been filed regarding the shooting incident. Police also said on Wednesday that an investigation is ongoing in this matter.
