For the first time in 78 years, the PMO is changing its address. Leaving South Block, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's office is almost ready at the new address in the Central Vista Executive Enclave near Raisina Hills. Last-minute preparations are underway.

‘Sebatirth’: A new identity rooted in service, culture and governance

One of the three buildings in Executive Enclave-1, next to Vayu Bhavan, is the new address of the Prime Minister's Office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi prefers to call himself 'Desh Ka Chowkidar' and 'Janata Ka Sevak'. Keeping this in mind, his office at the new address has been named 'Sebatirth'. Right next to the PMO will be the Cabinet Secretariat and the office of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. These two buildings have been named Sebatirth-2 and Sebatirth-3.

Since independence, the Prime Minister's Office was located in South Block. There, colonial architecture was more prominently reflected. However, it has been learned that Modi's new office has been built keeping in mind India's traditional culture and heritage. There is a separate room here for cabinet meetings. There is also an open floor.

Notably, a new residence for the Prime Minister is also being constructed near 'Sebatirth'. Once this building is completed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will permanently move here, leaving the address at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg.
