This incident took place at Tambaram railway station in Tamil Nadu. On December 20, a woman boarded a Beach-bound local train. When she was getting into the compartment, the train had already started moving. While boarding the moving train, she slipped. The woman could have died at any moment. However, the woman's life was saved due to the quick action of a railway employee.

The video of saving that woman has been posted on social media by Southern Railway. It was reported that the passenger survived because of an employee named Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar is a ticket checking staff at Tambaram station.

After running quite a distance, he pulled the woman down to safety. The railway authorities said that if that woman had not been rescued, a major accident could have occurred.

According to some, accidents often occur due to the distance between the train compartment and the platform. They believe this distance should be reduced.
