During the sudden airline restrictions, which have hampered flights throughout the United Arab Emirates, renowned Tamil actor and expert racer Ajith Kumar has been stuck in Dubai. He had travelled to Abu Dhabi for racing practice as growing conflicts between the US, Israel, and Iran caused flight prohibitions. Although the actor remains secure, before coming back to his home in Chennai, he will have to wait for airlines to restart operations.

Ajith is stuck due to regional airspace restrictions.

In preparation for the next global racing events, Ajith Kumar went to Abu Dhabi for intensive training. Although there are now severe airline restrictions throughout the Gulf as a result of increasing conflicts between the US, Israel, and Iran, flights have been temporarily halted at several major airports, especially those in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Due to aircraft cancellations and route rerouting, Ajith has stayed in Dubai until travel services are restored. Fans have been assured by his manager that he is safe, well, and will be back home as soon as regular travel plans are resumed.

Ajith recently joined the 2025 24-hour Dubai endurance event, where he performed strongly. His passion for professional racing has earned him recognition outside of the film business. During his training phase, several well-known figures from Tamil cinema visited the racetrack to show their support. He was seen being supported by celebrities like R. Madhavan, Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara, and musician Anirudh Ravichander. Their videos and photos went viral online, demonstrating the close bond within the film business. Ajith continues to encourage interest in Formula 1 and international racing platforms despite being outspoken about his support for Indian racing.

Conflict's impact on Middle East travel

Public aviation in the area was affected by the recent growth of the US-Iran conflict, which has involved coordinated strikes and increased military action. Israel, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates have temporarily restricted portions of their airspace as a precaution.
