If you’re planning to switch to vegetarian options, it’s worth remembering that when cooked right, vegetarian food can easily rival meat in flavour. The real challenge, however, lies in creating exciting vegetarian snacks or starters.

This is where paneer comes to the rescue. Versatile, filling, and rich in protein, paneer makes the task far easier. And if you’re tired of the same old paneer pakoras, it’s time to try something different.

Here are two delicious paneer recipes that bring both taste and freshness to your plate.

Achari Paneer Fry

First, cut the paneer into cube shapes. Cut the onions into rounds and separate them like peels. Now take the paneer in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of sour yoghurt, 1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste, 1 teaspoon of pickle, 2 tablespoons of rice flour, and salt to taste. Marinate the paneer and keep it for 45 minutes.

Now, roast the onions in a dry pan. Then heat one spoon of oil in the same pan. Fry the marinated paneer in it. Mix the roasted onions with the pan-fried paneer and serve the achari paneer fry.

Paneer Hariyali Kabab

Cut the paneer into cube shapes. Also cut tomatoes, onions, and capsicum into medium sizes. Now, marinate all the ingredients together. Marinate the paneer and vegetables with sour yoghurt, tomato sauce, soy sauce, chilli sauce, coriander paste, coriander-cumin powder, black pepper powder, and garam masala powder. Keep it marinated for half an hour. Then thread the paneer and vegetables onto a large stick.

Now heat a pan or tawa. Heat white oil or butter in it. Fry the paneer and vegetable sticks well. Serve the paneer hariyali kabab with mint chutney.
