IPL 2026 has already given many shocks before its start, and one of its most important parts is the trade of Sanju Samson and Jadeja. Jadeja has returned to his first franchise, where he cemented the bricks of his initial career. Will he become the lucky factor for the franchise? Time will say, but the way the Rajasthan Royals have built their team is something many teams have tried but failed to do. The mix of youth and experience, with a perfect balance, can taste like the whisky in winter. Last year, they included the most terrific young talent, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and now he will make his place straight into the XI.

His partnership with Jaiswal has the potential to become the finest opening combination of this year, but Rajasthan Royals also have some areas to address, and if the core group can able to find the tune, the team can be the dark horse of this year under Riyan Parag’s captaincy.

Strength- Explosive batting core and spin depth

Not only the 14-year-old young prodigy and Jaiswal, but they also have batters like Shimron Hetmyer, who had a trailblazing World Cup campaign recently. Riyan Parag and Donavan Ferreira, in the middle with Dhruv Jurel, can give the finishing touches, and the team can outplay any team in the middle overs. A lot will depend on how the middle order pays off; if any one of these three can stay till the death overs, the team can really do well.

Jadeja, the batter in T20Is, had not been that good in the last few seasons, but with the ball, he can still create impact. The home boy Ravi Bishnoi, can also turn the match with his leg spin. They have a good combo of off-spin and leg-spin that can create a huge difference.

Weakness- Fragile lower-order depth

With Sam Curran’s injury, suddenly their lower order started to look a bit fragile, which comes with a warning: “handle with care”. If they are able to use Shubham Dubey and Nandre Burger well, then their problems will be fewer, and the scope to improve will increase.
