Xiaomi has expanded its affordable 5G lineup in India with the launch of the Redmi 15A 5G, a smartphone aimed at users seeking long battery life and a large display at a competitive price point.
The Redmi 15A 5G starts at ₹12,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The 4GB + 128GB model is priced at ₹14,499, while the top-end 6GB + 128GB version costs ₹16,499.
The smartphone is available in Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple, and Ace Black colour options. Sales will begin on April 3 via Xiaomi’s official website, Flipkart, and select retail stores.
Camera and battery
The Redmi 15A 5G features a 32MP rear camera, while the front houses an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

It is backed by a 6,300mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can last up to two days on a single charge. The device supports 15W wired charging and also offers reverse charging to power other devices.
Software and connectivity
The smartphone runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Xiaomi has promised four years of Android updates along with six years of security patches.
It also includes AI-powered features such as Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity.
For audio, the phone comes with stereo speakers offering up to 200 per cent volume output. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.4. The device carries an IP52 rating for basic dust and splash resistance.

Display and performance
The Redmi 15A 5G sports a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 800 nits. It also comes with TÜV certifications to reduce eye strain.
Wet Touch Technology 2.0 allows the screen to remain responsive even with slightly wet fingers.
Powering the device is the UNISOC T8300 5G chipset, paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Storage can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
