Yash Dayal's participation in IPL 2026 has become almost uncertain, after his bail application was rejected in a case involving raping a minor. He could not play in the UP T20 League this season due to the rape allegations. Despite this, Royal Challengers Bangalore retained him. However, his participation remains in jeopardy due to legal complications.
The allegations against Yash Dayal
Yash Dayal allegedly raped a minor for two years. Yash Dayal allegedly raped her by promising to build a future for her in professional cricket. The incident occurred during the 2025 season of the IPL. During a match between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Yash Dayal allegedly called the minor to a hotel and raped her. After being subjected to mental and sexual harassment multiple times, the victim finally filed a complaint against Dayal on July 23, this year.
This is not the end, as there were dual rape charges against him. In another incident, an FIR was filed against him in Ghaziabad on July 8. The complaint stated that Yash Dayal had been in a relationship with the complainant for the past five years. The pacer allegedly promised to marry the victim. However, Dayal later refused to marry.
Bail application rejected
Yash Dayal has not played cricket since the 2025 season of the IPL. Although Gorakhpur Lions bought him for 7 lakh rupees in UPT20, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association prohibited him from participating. Now that his bail application has been rejected, his participation in the IPL is uncertain.

According to NDTV, the Jaipur Metropolitan Court has rejected Dayal's bail application. The police report states that the allegations made against Yash Dayal are true. His lawyer, Kunal Jayman, has dismissed the allegations made against Dayal. He stated that Yash Dayal did not meet the complainant in any private place, like a hotel. Counter-allegations have been made against the complainant for taking money from Yash Dayal.
