Vijay Hazare Trophy: Virat Kohli scripts history with 16,000 List A runs milestone, leaving Sachin Tendulkar behind

This time, playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Virat Kohli set a record. He became the fastest to score 16,000 runs in List A cricket in Indian cricket. He surpassed Sachin Tendulkar.

Vijay Hazare Trophy: Delhi Vs Andhra Pradesh highlights

Delhi is playing their first match against Andhra Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Andhra batted first and scored 298 runs. Coming down to chase the runs, Virat came down to his familiar position. After Arpit Rana got out without opening his account, Virat Kohli came down and steadied the team. Virat formed a 113-run partnership with opener Priyansh Arya. After Priyansh scored 74 runs in 44 balls and got out, it was the Virat Kohli show. He formed a partnership with Nitish Rana. And with this, he set a record.

He scored 16,000 runs in 330 innings. Earlier, among Indians, only Sachin Tendulkar had scored 16,000 runs in List A cricket. He had taken 391 innings. Virat did it in 330 innings. Virat scored a half-century. He scored 50 runs in 58 balls.

Not just 16,000 runs. Virat Kohli had earlier scored 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 thousand runs in List A as the fastest Indian.
