There are cricketers, and then there is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. For millions, his name became an emotion that went beyond the game of cricket. He is a larger-than-life figure.

For a whole generation of Indians who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s, cricket was Sachin, and Sachin was cricket.

Often called the 'God of Cricket', Sachin continues to remain one of the highest-earning former athletes even years after retirement. More than a decade after stepping away from international cricket, his income streams remain strong, driven by endorsements, investments and business ventures.

As the legend turns 53 today, here is a look at his net worth.

Earnings beyond cricket

While Tendulkar built his legacy with records, including 100 international centuries, his financial success extends well beyond the field. Reports suggest his total net worth stands at around Rs 1472 crore.

Even today, he earns significantly through brand endorsements, reportedly making Rs 20 to Rs 22 crore annually from such deals. He continues to be associated with major brands like BMW, Adidas, Pepsi, Apollo Tyres and Bank of Baroda.

His rise as a commercial icon began early. In 1995, he signed a Rs 30 crore deal with WorldTel, a move that reshaped sports endorsements in India and established him among the country's top-earning athletes, reported Jagran.

Investments and business ventures

A large part of Tendulkar's wealth comes from strategic investments. He has backed several startups and companies, including investments in AZAD Engineering and Truzon Solar. In 2024, he also launched "Ten x You", a venture focused on mentoring and scaling consumer brands.

Unlike many athletes, Tendulkar has focused on equity ownership rather than relying solely on endorsements, helping build long-term financial stability.

Real estate portfolio

Real estate forms a significant share of his wealth. According to Research and Ranking, his primary residence in Bandra West, Mumbai, is a three-storey bungalow valued between Rs 100 crore and RS 150 crore. The property includes multiple basements, a temple space and expansive interiors.

His portfolio also includes a flat in Bandra Kurla Complex, a luxury apartment in Prabhadevi, a villa in Alibaug and a residence in London.

Luxury lifestyle and other assets

Tendulkar is known for his love of cars, owning models like the Ferrari 360 Modena, Nissan GT-R and BMW 750. He also remains connected to cricket as a mentor with the Mumbai Indians.
