Cross-platform progression comes to mobile
One of the key features arriving with the smartphone version is support for cross-platform save transfers.
According to The Pokemon Company, players who already own the game on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to carry over their progress to Android and iOS devices by linking the same Nintendo Account. This allows trainers to switch between console and mobile without losing their battle records, teams or progression.
The move is expected to make the competitive experience more accessible for players who regularly alternate between gaming platforms.
Limited-time rewards for early players
To celebrate the mobile rollout, The Pokemon Company is launching a special in-game reward campaign available across all supported platforms.
Players who log into the game after June 17 will receive a special Raichu alongside two exclusive Mega Stones — Raichunite X and Raichunite Y. The rewards will remain available until September 1, 2026, and can be claimed through the in-game mailbox. According to the company, the promotional Raichu is inspired by the Pokemon's long-standing presence in competitive battles.
The two Mega Stones introduce unique forms exclusive to Pokemon Champions. Mega Raichu X features the Electric Surge Ability, automatically creating Electric Terrain when entering battle. Mega Raichu Y comes equipped with No Guard, ensuring that moves such as Thunder and Thunder Wave connect with complete accuracy.
