Netflix has launched a new gaming app called Netflix Playground for children aged 8 and below. The app gives kids a safe, ad-free space to play without extra costs, while also letting parents control screen time, reported Hindustan Times.

The app is included with a regular Netflix subscription and works offline, so that kids can play without the internet. It works on smartphones and tablets and needs a Netflix login. Netflix Playground makes playing fun for kids.

The app features games and activities based on popular characters and shows, making learning and play enjoyable. Its launch also supports Netflix’s plans to expand kids’ content with new and returning shows.

What Netflix Playground offers

Netflix Playground has a collection of games and activities with popular characters. Kids can play puzzles, matching games, and interactive tasks based on Horton Hears a Who! The Sneetches, Peppa Pig, and Sesame Street. The app works offline, so games can be played without the internet, and all content is ready to be started instantly or at once.

Netflix Playground lets parents set kids’ profiles, screen limits, watch history, and locks for safety. It will start in some countries and expand worldwide from April 28. New shows like Young MacDonald, My Sesame Street Friends, CoComelon Lane, and Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie will be added soon.
